Preparing for the nationals
Phantom sailors enjoyed light but okay conditions at Felixstowe Ferry SC

17 intrepid Phantom sailors made their way to the pre-test 2008 Phantom Nationals venue at Felixstowe Ferry Sailing Club, to gain some local knowledge and some last minute practise prior to the 2007 Nationals in two weeks time.
With the host club allowing us to piggy-back onto the Javelin and FD Nationals, we were treated to superb race management and hospitality. My sincere thanks to the FFSC.

With the weather on the East Coast having been wet and windy all of the previous week, and a persistent drizzle and calm on Friday, the event looked a possible ‘damp squib’ before it started. How wrong it fortunately turned out! ...more
