Following the 33rd America’s Cup and Groupama 3’s successful Jules Verne Trophy attempt, 2010 has been a high profile year so far for the maxi-multihull. And so in this context, Bruno Peyron, three time holder of the Jules Verne Trophy and the man who has done more to put big multihulls (the ‘G Class’, as he refers to them) on the map, has relaunched The Race. The new event looks set to be held in 2013 with two classes, one unlimited and another limited, somehow, for the existing 100ft multis. In our two part interview Peyron shares his views and argues that cats can still mix it.
