Solo offshore racing world championship

Next Tuesday the Solitaire du Figaro sets sail from Le Havre. Entries are down to 45 this year but not the quality with 10-15 boats and their solo skippers capable of winning. Among the line-up is Artemis’ Jonny Malbon, the sole British entry, who after being launched into the event cold last year, is hoping for a better result after a winter training in France. Racing at the Audi MedCup event in Barcelona gets underway today for the TP52s and after showing strong potential in yesterday’s practice race, it will be interesting to see if TeamOrigin can repeat this in racing proper.
