What next for the foiling Moth?

Monday May 10 2010 Author: James Boyd Location: none selected

Foilers – still the most exciting technology in our sport at present, but still strangely limited pretty much to singlehanders like the Moth and RS600 FF. Today ex-Olympic Tornado sailor and Moth sailor/designer Adam May helps us look at where the class is going, how this year we may see boats fitted with solid wingsails – yes, you read it correctly – and the concept for how to make a (relatively) cheap foiling doublehander. The Audi MedCup fires up this week with what is set to be a highly exciting regatta in the wavy Atlantic off Cascais.
