Miranda Merron: winter project
Miranda Merron: winter project

With just under a year to the Global Ocean Race, we have a long way to go to the start line in Mallorca. The boat needs to be entirely fitted out: engine, deck hardware, electricity, electronics, interior fittings, ballast plumbing, rig etc… and we are also searching for a title sponsor who would like to make the most of the opportunities afforded by this round the world race campaign.
However, thanks to AltéAd, specialists in industrial and abnormal load transport, lifting, and industrial maintenance, the first big step in our project went extremely smoothly, with no time lost between completion of the hull at Structures and the boat’s arrival at our yard in Normandy. A Class40 is 4.5 metres wide, and it is no small matter to transport it over 500 kilometres by road! This is definitely a job for the experts, and it bodes well that this first part of our project was so perfectly executed. We are proud to have AltéAd as one of our team of technical partners.
