Sam Davies on the AG2R - passing Cap Finistere

Hello everyone

I have just finished the sunrise watch, with an "average" sunrise - a bit cloudy and rainy, but the skies clearing leave little blue patches with the sun drenched white bubbling cumulus clouds climbing above the grey-ish patchy low cloud.

Saveol spent the night a little bit confused by the turbulent wind off Cap Finistere, which meant lots of action for Romain and I as we changed between spinnaker and genoa several times.

This morning we have had a good look at the weather and have made our tactical descision for the route to take us to the Canaries. No turning back now! We are pretty confident that it is the right choice, despite the fact that the weather is quite complicated and may well not do what it is forecast to do!

So, breakfast for me was a bowl of Grasshopper Porridge (thanks Abi and Fleur) and a coffee for Romain. Leon the Bumble Bee has had some strawberries and Lucky is sulking as he spent the night out in the rain at the helm (he has got too used to the luxury of the Open 60 chart table!)

All is well on board Saveol!!!
