There was a big day on Friday for Ben Ainslie at the Trofeo SAR Princesa Sofia Mapfre, winning by a huge margin despite a pre-start collision that had him scrabbling to find a replacement boat. The rest of the medals were decided on Saturday. Puma managed to fend off Telefonica’s advances into Itajai on the Volvo Ocean Race, despite the Spanish VO70 at one point closing to within 0.2 miles of the leader. The Voiles de St Barth has concluded. Two races were held at the RORC Easter Challenge on Friday, but the wind failed to co-operate on Saturday. The breeze returned on Sunday.
