He’s done it and done it royally. Paul Larsen's objective was to take the world sailing speed record above 60 knots. But on Saturday they knocked the record speed into space, averaging 65.45 knots down the 500m course in Walvis Bay, Namibia. Paul Larsen talks us through it. In the Vendee Saturday saw a seventh retirement after Vincent Riou’s PRB collided with a drifting buoy. Yesterday Riou retired. Meanwhile the skippers are working out the best route to get to the Southern Ocean. There is a British challenger for the Red Bull Youth America’s Cup. Asko Appliances won the latest 18ft skiff racing in Sydney.
