Part of the reason the leading boats have been able to do 500+ miles/day runs in this Vendee Globe around is due to developments with their autopilots. The gentlemen at B&G tell us more. With Virbac Paprec 3 caught by the high, so the lead in the Vendee Globe has become decidedly a two horse race. The UON SB20 World Championship has got underway in Hamilton Island with Ben Saxton’s team scoring two bullets. Entry has opened for next year’s Mini Transat, while with a new organiser the Transat Jacques Vabre is to return to Brazil. Congratulations to Kurt Arrigo for taking the Yacht Racing Image of the Year.
