The AC45s laid on a fantastic spectacle in Venice yesterday with the Arzanà City of Venice Trophy finishing in front of St Marks Square. The Olympic classes World Championship deluge continues with Ed Wright leading Ben Ainslie at the Finn Gold Cup, while there was a light start to the 470 Worlds yesterday. Nathan Outteridge entered the history books scoring his fourth 49er Worlds win, while Scheidt/Prada beat Percy/Simpson to the Star Worlds title. Gildas Morvan and Charlie Dalin on Cercle Verte last night won the Figaro’s Transat AG2R La Mondiale. The Wilson Trophy finals were cut short yesterday in 30 knot winds handing victory to West Kirby Hawks. Hong Kong is to field a strong entry in the Brewin Dolphin Commodores’ Cup. Maserati’s bid to break the Transatlantic record is in jeopardy
