Worrell fleet fly
Joseph Sonnenklar and John Casey scored their third leg win as they beat Alex Shafer and Nigel Pitt on Tommy Bahama to the finish at Tybee Island by just 54 seconds. But after leg seven yesterday (Saturday) to Isle of Palms in South Carolina, Stephen Lohmayer and Kenneth Pierce on Tybee Island still have the overall lead.
In second place overall, Brian Lambert and Jamie Livingston sailing Alexander’s on the Bay won the 83.5-mile stage to close their overall deficit to Tybee Island to five minutes and 23 seconds.
Today the eighteen-boat fleet is racing from the South Carolina beaches of Isle of Palms to Myrtle.
