Bacardi Invitational Race Week in Bermuda starts this Sunday with racing in the annual multi-class, one-design regatta hosted by Royal Bermuda Yacht Club. Festivities start with the RBYC Welcoming Cocktail Party on Saturday. Racing will start Sunday morning in six classes. Keelboats include International Etchells, International One Design (IOD), J 24, and J105, which will sail on the Great Sound. The dinghy classes - the International 505's and Lasers will sail out of the Spanish Point Boat Club in waters nearby.

Racing starts at 1100hrs on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. The Bacardi Gras Celebration on Race Week 'Fat Tuesday' leads into a 'no racing' or a 'spare' day Wednesday, just right to enjoy the sights of Bermuda.

Competitors in Bacardi Invitational Race Week are invited to participate by the local international classes represented in Bermuda. Skippers and crews will be representing the USA, Canada, Great Britain, Norway, Bermuda and the Cayman Islands.
