For day three of the Palamos Christmas Race

Tricky winds of 8 to 10 knots, changing from N to SW in the early afternoon brought a complicated day of racing in Palamós.

The 470 and Finn fleets had to sail back ashore after two starts of races that had to be abandoned to constant windshifs and therefore, overall standings remain the same as yesterday.

With one race sailed in the Laser Radial the leader of the overall standings is for Spanish competitor Fátima Reyes (CNMM Los Alcázares) followed by her sister Lucía Reyes in second place. Third place overall is now for Portuguese sailor Sara Carmo.

The 49er fleet has been able to complete four races today with more stable wind in a racing course incide the bay of Palamós. Leaders of the fleet are British team John Pink/Rick Peacock (Hil Head SC-Allen), followed by European silver medallists from Spain Federico & Arturo Alonso (Alfa Romeo). Third overall place is for also British team Dave Evans / Simon Hiscocks (Wpnsa).

The Laser Standard sees a new leader after today’s races. British sailor Eifion Mon (RWBSC) won the race and i son top of the overall results followed by French competitor Cabaz Rodrigue (SON Nantes) and third place is for British competitor Robert Godwin (HISC).
