A report from the penultimate day of the Spring Trophy at Grosseto, Italy

The 2004 Soling Italian Championship (Spring Trophy) is taking place in Castiglione della Pescaia, Grosseto, in Italy, the 2005 Soling World Championship venue.

Crews from four different European countries - German, Austria, Holland and Italy - are currently racing in medium light winds. Three races were sailed yesterday with winds from SE between 5 and 8 knots. Today other three races took place with NE winds between 6 and 14 knots.

After six races German Roman Koch/MaxlKoch/George Wossala leads the overall standings, three points ahead of the Austrian Schneebenger / Volker Moser / Christian Panek and six ahead of the other Austrian Carl Auteried / Martin Kendler / Udo Moser.

Tomorrow the seventh and last race will take place.
