Scottish sailors to get 'star' tuition

Over 70 boats will compete in the Skandia Scottish Schools Sailing Championships at Loch Earn, Perthshire on Tuesday, 17 June. Over a hundred 12 -16 year olds will be racing to win the prestigious Skandia Brown Cup in single and double handed races at one of Scotland's most famous sailing venues.

This is the second year that leading financial services group, Skandia, has sponsored this youth sailing series. Tim Sewell, Skandia's Sponsorship Manager is pleased to support the event as part of Skandia's "Set Sail" campaign. "Our aim is to offer more people more opportunities to Sail. The Skandia Scottish Schools Sailing Championships are of great significance to this region and we are very pleased to support them."

In addition to winning the Cup, the winners will be invited to Skandia Cowes Week for a days coaching and sailing with Star World Champions Iain Percy and Steve Mitchell of the Skandia Star Campaign.
