Dinghy show countdown

Sailboat and Windsurf Show kicks off in one month

Saturday February 2nd 2002, Author: Rya, Location: United Kingdom
This year's Sailboat and Windsurf Show, presented in association with The Daily Telegraph and supported by Yachts and Yachting, is to be held on 2-3 March, at Alexandra Palace in north London.

From modest beginnings the Sailboat and Windsurf Show has grown into the Britain's biggest Show dedicated to racing sailboats, recreational dinghy sailing and windsurfing. As in previous years, the show will exhibit the latest technology and the newest boats
and boards all on show.

Achieve your best on the water
This year's theme brings "live" at the Show the best in Sports Physiotherapists, Psychologists and Nutritionists. We've also got some of the best performers on the water to help visitors reach their personal goals, even if that's just getting on the water once in a while!

Talk technical

For those who like to be in the know there's a new feature at the Show. Each day the Sail and Windsurf Smart Tour will set off round the show. Throughout the day experts will stop off at a variety of dinghy and windsurf stands to give lively talks on all the latest news and coaching hints.

You can't be serious!
It's not all technical though! There's energetic entertainment on the 'Live' stage with fashion shows, star interviews, competitions and presentations. One of the highlights will be a Coaching Blind Date, a unique contest to win a free day on the water with one of our top coaches! There'll be Blind Dates for dinghy, windsurfing and cat coaching!

The word on the water
The latest buzz in windsurfing is Team 15! We're pleased to say the Show will host the official preview of this dynamic, fun face of youth windsurfing.

There'll also be a celebrity launch of the new RYA National Sailing Scheme.

Clubbing and Partying
No, not that sort of Clubbing! We're talking about Clubs - and not just idle talk. The popular Commodores Conference has a host of top speakers to help clubs maximise benefits and enjoyment for members.

But there will be partying at the Show. The Show will have 'regatta' feel on Saturday afternoon, with a roving band, hospitality on the stands and live entertainment and pay bars in the Palm Court when the show closes.
