Bartley SC was host to 20 Supernovas in an overcast force 2-3. In the first race Andy Flitcroft (Bolton) got off to a flyer, but took the wrong course, which left local sailors Mike Gibson and Neil Boneham together with Dave Everett (West Oxon) to take up the challenge. Gibson got away and went on to win, with Boneham second and Everett third. Richard Duncan (Bartley) was fourth with Flitcroft fifth. Bartley sailors filled five of the first eight positions.

In the second race the trio of Everett, Flitcroft and Gibson fought out for the lead with Everett getting in front on the third lap, but once again Gibson hit the front and went on to win followed by Everett second and Flitcroft third.

Race three saw Gibson once again in control, leading throughout the race to make it three in a row, with Boneham second. Mark Giles (West Oxon) held third place for most of the race, but was overtaken in the later stages by Flitcroft and finished fourth.
