Mumm 30 Worlds to be contested in Miami

Top Europeans are planning on spoiling the party for the Americans

A record 38 boats are due to compete in the fourth annual Mumm 30 World Championship in Miami, beginning 8th November. Among the favourites are former world champion Ed Collins from the USA and Rolex IMS offshore world champion Vincenzo Onorato and his Mascalzone Latino team from Italy, multiple one design world champion Vasco Vascotto will be calling tactics for them. Jimmy Pahun will be going from France, joined by American Terry Hutchinson calling tactics. Hutchinson raced the Tour Voile with Pahun this year - only to be eclipsed by the British crew aboard Barlo Plastics. The European Champions, Alberto Signorini with Tommaso Chieffi on tactics, will also be there. Nine windward/leeward races are scheduled for the series.
