Bacardi Cup Star regatta - Day 2

Wind stops play

Strong winds in Biscayne Bay prevented any racing from taking place on the second day of the Bacardi Cup. This leaves Olympic champions Mark Reynolds and Magnus Liljedahl leading the high-quality Star fleet after Sunday's opening race.
Principal race officer Dr Bill Smoak commented: "The conditions today were 20 knots, with gusts of over 25 knots. This was not a safe racing environment for the sailors, therefore we cancelled today's race."

He said he would try to hold two races on Tuesday 6 March to catch up on the schedule.
