Another reason for holding north could well be that he hasn't the power to run his radar, and as Ellen MacArthur has been discovering, they are far enough south to be in real iceberg country. Ellen reported this morning, "Never in my life before have I experienced such beauty and fear at the same time - ten icebergs so far today.
