Robertson bags a sponsor
Team Shirley Robertson will return to the Yngling for the first time since the birth of Shirley’s twins 13 weeks ago at the Skandia RYA Sail for Gold Regatta this weekend. The event takes place at Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy.
“We are delighted JPMorgan Asset Management has come onboard to support our campaign for Beijing 2008. They are leaders in their field, which is of course what we strive to be as a team. There is also a great synergy between JPMorgan Asset Management and our title sponsor Volvo Car UK, with both companies being deeply involved and committed to the sport of sailing in the UK,” explained Shirley Robertson.
Campbell Fleming, Managing Director and Head of UK for JP Morgan Asset Management said: “As a leading fund management company, JPMorgan Asset Management is delighted to extend its support for sailing in the UK and Team Shirley Robertson in their third Olympic bid. We wish the team the very best of luck, we are delighted to see them back on the water and know they will give their very best.”
The Skandia RYA Sail for Gold Regatta is the first international Olympic Classes Regatta to be held in the waters of the 2012 Olympic sailing venue. Ten of the Olympic sailing classes and all three Paralympic classes will be sailing with teams coming from over 20 nations to compete.
