Following their broken rudder and subsequent retirement from leg three, then the departure of Matt Humphries on their arrival in Auckland, Team SEB have finally some welcome news in the return of watch leader David 'Ringo' Rolfe. Another new addition is Australian Anthony Merrington who spent last winter training with the team in Portugal, and who has since been racing on board Ellen MacArthur's Open 60 Kingfisher.

"It is great to have both 'Dingo' and Anthony back in Team SEB. We know each other well since a long time ago and we know that we work good together", commented skipper Gurra Krantz.

David "Dingo" Rolfe has been with the Team SEB project since its beginning and during the last Whitbread 1997-98 he sailed with Gurra Krantz and many of the SEB crewmembers on board Swedish Match.

"It feels good for me to be back in Team SEB. I have a close relationship with this boat and everyone on board and I am looking forward to push hard again", said Rolfe.

"During my time with Team SEB in Portugal I got to know everyone in the team very well and I am excited to be here and I am looking forward to the Southern Ocean", Anthony Merrington says.

Rolfe and Merrington replace Tony Rey and Sean Clarkson on board. A twelfth crewmember to take over from Humphries will be announced shortly.
