Cowes rating band change

Tweaks to the IRC classes 1-3

Friday July 26th 2002, Author: Peta Stuart-Hunt, Location: United Kingdom
After reviewing the number of boats currently entered in each of the IRC classes, organisers Cowes Combined Clubs have decided to modify the rating bands for IRC Classes 1, 2 and 3 to more evenly distribute boats between these classes. This change, along will some minor alterations affecting the Bull 7000, ISC Rated and Daring classes, will form part of Amendment 1 to the Skandia Life Cowes Week 2002 Sailing Instructions and Notice of Race that is due to be issued on the 1st August 2002.

A pre-release version of this amendment is available in PDF format from the event website. Competitors are reminded that this is for preview information only; other clauses may be added to the amendment before it is formally issued.

The online entry database has been updated to reflect the rating band changes and competitors are encouraged to check their own entry to confirm the class in which they will be racing.
