Dragon Europeans finds backer

The sponsorship, announced at a reception at the Royal St George Yacht Club today, will be the climax of Setanta Asset Management’s three year involvement with the Irish Dragon Association.

The Dragon European Championship was awarded to Kinsale Yacht Club by the International Dragon Association in 1998 after consideration of several presentations from yacht clubs throughout Europe. The event will bring together over 40 top Dragons, including multiple World and Olympic champion Pol Richard Hoj-Jensen and top ranked Irish helm Neil Hegarty.

Speaking on behalf of Setanta Asset Management, Paul McCarville, Director, said ‘We are pleased ot be associated with the Dragon European Championship. This promises to be a magnificent event, attracting a host of National and International competitors. It is a fantastic achievement to bring the Championship to Ireland and Kinsale will provide a perfect setting for the event.
