JPMorgan Fleming Asset Management have announced their sponsorship of Kit Hobday and Tim Louis' Farr 52 Bear of Britain. This boat will be the big boat in the Royal Thames' Admiral's Cup entry.

Jonathan Watts-Lay, Head of UK Marketing, JPMorgan Fleming, commented: "We are looking forward to being the major sponsor of The Bear of Britain for 2003 and are delighted that we can support British youth sailing in this way. We wish the crew luck in their races throughout the summer, in particular, the Admiral's Cup and Cowes Week, where they are aiming to add to an already impressive list of results."

Aside from her more aged owners, Bear is regularly sailed by a youth crew led by Mark Campbell-James.

In 2001, its first year of racing, The Bear of Britain came 2nd at Cowes Week and 1st at the America's Cup Jubilee Regatta. In 2002, the boat was 2nd overall (out of 1,750 boats) in the Round the Island race, missing first position by just 17 seconds, was 1st at the IRC National Championships and 2nd in Cowes Week, and was in the top British Team at the Commodores Cup.
