The annual Bénéteau Cup is once again to take place in Cowes, this year. The dates are 15-18 July 2004 and the event is to be hosted by Bénéteau’s UK agent Ancasta.

The Bénéteau Cup is highly popular with owners of the French production yacht and more than 80 yachts are expected to take part. There is a class to suit each level of sailing including the hotly competitive IRC class 1, the informal Bénéteau handicap Class 2, and the family fun ‘white sails’ in Class 3.

The event is renowned for its spectacular shore-side social calendar which this year includes a Salsa evening at the host venue the Royal Corinthian Yacht Club, supported by Mount Gay, and a glittering Ball on the Saturday evening in the Cowes Yacht Haven’s Boat Shed with the look-alike sound-alike band Fabba and a World Party fancy dress theme.

The event is generously supported by Fat Face, North Sails and Mount Gay and includes a superb combination of serious racing, a pursuit race and a treasure hunt.
