Along the south coast of the UK the high score wind-wise was just over 90mph at the Needles yesterday while at midday Channel Light vessel was recording gusts of up to 72 knots and off Land's End at 0900, Seven Stones saw gusts of up to 86 knots with the barometer down to an ear popping 965mB.
