Sunsail, the world's largest yacht charter and watersports beach club operator, with a flagship base in the British Virgin Islands, is sponsoring the Charterers’ Cup for the bareboat classes at this year's British Virgin Islands Spring Regatta & Sailing Festival taking place between 31 March and 6 April.

The top three visiting charterers in the Bareboat I and II classes will receive awards and the best overall charterer from both classes will receive the coveted Sunsail Charterers’ Cup.

"We're very pleased to be sponsoring these awards," said Peter Cochran, regional director of Sunsail. "There's always a strong Sunsail presence competing in the BVI Spring Regatta and we think it is important that charterers, no matter from which company, get recognised for their achievements at one of the Caribbean's premier regattas."

Billed as "two great events in one", the BVI Spring Regatta & Sailing Festival starts on Monday, March 31st with a welcome party at regatta hosts Nanny Cay Marina. Three days of destination cruising and racing throughout the BVI then follow, leading up to the main three-day regatta starting on Friday, 4 April.

Sunsail still has a number of boats available for charter to compete in the BVI Spring Regatta on a 14 day basis from Friday 28th March to Friday 11th April, with prices from just £1035 per person, including return flight and transfers.

Anyone interested in taking part should contact Sunsail on 023 9222 2222.

The BVI Spring Regatta is presented by Nanny Cay Marina and also sponsored by Heineken, Road Town Wholesale (1975) Ltd, Bitter End Yacht Club, the BVI Tourist Board, Cable & Wireless BVI, Village Cay Marina, Tortola Yacht Services, Prospect Reef Resort and Island Marine Outfitters.
