The Royal Southern Yacht Club announced today (29 January) that it has entered a team for this year's Admiral's Cup.

The Royal Southern will consist of Team Tonic, Nick Hewson's Farr 52 skippered by Jeremy Robinson, and an as yet un-named Sinergia 40 being built for Nigel Biggs. Team Tonic was the most successful yacht to race in the Solent during 2002. The Sinergia 40 design took the first four places in the IMS 600 championship in Spain last year.

The Royal Southern Yacht Club Team Manager will be Past-Commodore
Tony Lovell. Current Commodore, Colin Hall said, "When RORC announced the change to Club teams last year, Tony Lovell and I thought that it was the kind of event that we should be associated with. We have Members who are some of the best sailors in the world and they must be strong contenders. We wish Nick, Jeremy, Nigel and their crews every success."

The Royal Southern Yacht Club extends a warm welcome to all teams to visit the Club in Hamble prior to the event.
