Ancasta International Boat Sales, dealers for Beneteau Sailing Yachts, are proud to announce the launch of the brand new First 30 sailing yacht at this year’s Cowes Week – 31 July to 7 August. The new addition to the Beneteau range will be on display at Cowes Yacht Haven, for all to view over the entire week of racing.

This new craft joins the First range and follows on from the legendary First 30 Mauric launched in 1976 and the worldwide success of F31.7 since 1997.

Designed by Juan Kouyoumdjian, who's boats have won the last two Volvo Ocean Races, with technical input from double Vendee Globe winner Michel Desjoyeaux, the First 30 has some novel features such as a T-shaped keel/foil configuration but most noticable are her twin rudders and tiller steering. Above deck the rig is further aft allowing a larger non-overlapping headsail to be used. Also due to the swept-back spreaders there is no fixed backstay.

The First 30 is fully optimised for IRC racing, with a choice of aluminium or carbon rigs, she also boasts a spacious cockpit and bold interior design!

The First 30 is also going to be on display at the Southampton International Boat Show, on stand FO16.
