First World Championship to be held in Chile in January

The Soto 40 European Class Association has published their racing schedule for 2013, which includes the racing programmed in Europe and also the very first World Championship for the class to be held in Chile.

Following the class receiving ISAF-recognised status, the season will open with the World Championship in Concepción, Chile, over 29 January and 3 February.

Three months later the season in Europe will start at PalmaVela, over 18-21 April. From Palma the fleet will move once again to Barcelona for the 40th Trofeo Conde de Godó, over 23-26 May.

The next venue is still to be confirmed, but the dates for this third event in the European calendar will be over 3-6 July. In late July/early August the class will repeat her date at Copa del Rey Audi Mapfre over 29 July to 6 August, while the finale of the season will be held in Porto Cervo during Settimane de le Boche, over 11-14 September.

As usual, every event of the season will count towardss the Overall winner and an Owner Driver winner.

On top of the World Championship and the events included in the European Circuit, the class will continue her intense racing program in South America with races scheduled in Brazil, Chile and Argentina.
