Title sponsor for Sopot Match Race
The organisers of the Sopot Match Race, stage three of the 2014 Alpari World Match Racing Tour, have announced Samsung as Title Partner of their event, to be held over 31 July – 3 August. This year will be the 11th edition of the Sopot Match Race and the first year the event joins the Alpari World Match Racing Tour.
Samsung joins a list of established partners of the Sopot Match Race including official watch partner Albert Riele who have produced a limited edition of 250 pieces for the event. Other partners include the City of Sopot, Ferrari, Moet and Chandon champagne, Audi, Garmin and Clear Frame.
Today's press conference in Warsaw was attended by Alpari World Match Racing Tour Executive Director, James Pleasance, together with the President of the Polish Yachting Association, Wiesław Kaczmarek, winner of the 2013 regatta Przemyslaw Tarnacki, former match racing world champion Karol Jablonski, and event organiser Artur Manista.
Representing Samsung was PR Manager Samsung Electronics Poland, Jerzy Labuda. Master of ceremonies was Waldemar Heflich, chief editor of Polish yachting magazine ‘Zagle’, and Event Ambassador Hubert Urbanski, a popular Polish television star. On display was the Alpari World Match Racing Tour Championship trophy by Garrard.

The 11th edition of the Sopot Match race will take place at the end of the historic Molo Pier in Sopot, the longest pier in Europe, which attracts over 20,000 visitors daily during the event. This year, a Sopot Jazz Festival will take place at the same time as the event.
