A slow, frustrating day for the Volvo Ocean Race crews as they try to make progress east
The question on the minds of Volvo Ocean Race crews in idle moments is 'will we be into Singapore by Christmas?' Over the course of the last 24 hours ETAs have been slipping around wildly, not just due to the light headwinds, but thanks to a powerful current driving the boats the wrong way down the course. This is best indicated by the 24 hour runs (above) that range from 135 to a measly 98.
