Vendee Globe frontrunners expecting several days of gales
The frontrunners in the Vendee Globe this morning are approaching the western end of the next ice gate to the southwest of Australia. Race leader Jean-Pierre Dick on Paprec Virbac 2 had 127 miles to go to reach the western end of this line. Over the weekend the Barcelona World Race leader had managed to extend his lead to 73 miles over Mike Golding and Ecover 3, who in turn has consolidated his second place ahead of Roland Jourdain on Veolia Environnement.  ...more
