The RS200 and 700 fleets had some big conditions on the second day of their UK Nationals
Day two of the RS200 and 700 Natiuonal Cha,mpionships saw the fleets venture out of Chichester harbour, accompanied by drizzle and 18-21 knots of south westerly wind to start race their races for the day

Pathfinders for the race Dave Steed and Noelle Vidal decided to show the fleet the way up the first beat, declining to take the option to tack onto starboard and carrying on over to Portsmouth before turning left. With the rest of the fleet coming in from the left, it was Ben Saxton and Kate McGregor leading at the first mark, with Steed and Vidal close behind. Robbie Burns and Victoria lee-Simpson made a good effort of getting entangled on the mark, misjudging the tide and taking out a large proportion of the fleet in the process. Most got round though and enjoyed the sleigh ride downwind conditions in the big waves. Gilbert and Willan eventually pulled through the fleet to take the wining gun, with Marshall King and Emma Clarke in second and Geoff Carveth and Lucy McGregor third.
