A report from th efinal day of the Royal Lymington Challenge Cup
Sunshine and a 10 knot breeze greeted the competitors for the first race of the day. 23 boats made the start line for the windward/leeward courses in Christchurch Bay with the 24th, Yes!, Adam Gosling needing a tow due to his lawn-mower engine! Both of the races were hotly contested:with the sea breeze kicking in and the wind rising to 15 knots for the second race. Half way through this race a fog blanket started to envelop the surrounding areas but the well structured plan of the Royal Limington PRO enabled all to return to terra firma before the fog smothered all.  ...more
