And finally the Vendee Globe front runners are able to head east
For days the frontrunners in the Vendee Globe have been heading south in order to get around south Atlantic high pressure that on this occasion has been way further to the southwest than it typically is. Finally yesterday morning the front runners, Seb Josse on
BT
and Loick Peyron on
Gitana 80,
were able to skirt the western side of the high as it moved northeast and this morning are on a ESEerly heading with the next stop being the gate they must stay to the north of, along 42°00S between 1°E and 11°E.
