Telefonica blue reaches Alicante

Telefónica blue
set sail for Alicante from the King Marine shipyard in Alginet (Valencia, Spain) where she was built. The Spanish entry is heading for her new home until the start of the Volvo Ocean Race on 11 October in Alicante.
Telefónica blue
will tackle the 150km (approx.) that separate Alginet from Alicante using the Mediterranean highway with the boat mounted on a special transporter due to the size of the hull: 21.5m long and at its maximum 5.7m breadth. The entry will be escorted by members of the Spanish Civil Guard, according to Spanish regulations.
