Racing at Petit Bateau Limited proudly presents the 6th Solo Channel Week, starting this year on the evening of Friday 29 May and running until Saturday 6 June.

Each year Petit Bateau run an intense week of single handed racing and this year’s version will involve six races, covering 305 miles and spread over eight days.

The event will start and finish in Lymington and all going to plan will visit Alderney, St Peter Port, Treguier, Brixham and Weymouth. The race from Treguier to Brixham will partially be sailed at night.

Race Director Peter Olden is very pleased with the number of planned entries so far, particularly given the number of regulars that will be competing in the OSTAR, which starts on May 25. At least 14 boats are expected to line up for the start. Expected entries consist of Petit Bateau regulars such as Simon Curwen, Rod Knowles and hopefully Nick Martin on their J/105’s, Noj White and Chris Rustom are expected to vie for line honours or their 37 footers, Peter Tanner on his J/110 Oojah will hopefully be joined by Ed Holton on his sistership Shades of Blue. Race Director Peter Olden will have two other J/92s for company, belonging to Luke Bond and Mario Sampaio who will be competing in Channel Week for the first time. John Twiggs and Alessandro Caricato also plan to do their maiden Channel Week in their newly acquired JODs and we hope to have the Beneteau 31.7s belonging to French Duo Herve Dupriex and Philippe Rigollet in the fleet, along with a few others.

Racing at Petit Bateau Limited welcome all skippers with a suitable boat and experience, see the website or contact the race Director Peter Olden for more information - all contact details below. Remaining Skippers are encouraged to get their entries no later than May 17.
