Anne Caseneuve's trimaran drops its rig in the Vendee St Petersburg race

At 1850 GMT, Anne Caseneuve's trimaran dismasted while competing on the return leg of the Vendee St Petersburg race. At the time she was 8.5 miles north of Brignogan point on the north coast of Brittany, sailing in 15-20 knot winds.

No one was injured in the incident and Caseneuve has contacted the CROSS Corsenand asked for assistance from a tug boat. A high speed motor boat from the SNSM was dispatched from the île de Batz and was expected to rendez-vous with Caseneuve at 2200 local time.
