Sports photographer, Richard Langdon, established Ocean Images in 1988 after studying photography at Bournemouth & Poole College of Art & Design. Now Ocean Images is one of Britain's leading yachting photography businesses, distributing pictures worldwide and working for some of the most dynamic sponsors and manufacturers in the yachting scene.

Clients, past and present include Performance Sailcraft, SB3/VW Touareg, Plastimo, O'Neill, Neil Pryde, Spinlock, Volvo Extreme 40 and North Sails UK. Ocean Images were also commissioned to cover the 1997/98 Whitbread Round the World Race by both Swedish Match and BrunelSunergy and the 2001/02 Volvo Ocean race by TeamNewsCorp.

From an early stage in his career, Richard has always pushed for new angles and ideas in yachting photography and can often be seen swimming amongst the action by a leeward mark, camera in hand!! This fresh approach has resulted in requests and commissions from outside the marine industry.

Since having a huge demand for stock images, Ocean Images has also created a large library. Images range from the more obvious sailing images to more abstract and unusual images related to the sea and sailing.
