VIDEO: RORC Easter Challenge

RORC early season action on a sunny Solent
This year's RORC Easter Challenge was held over the first three days of the Easter bank holiday weekend in unseasonally summery conditions. Aside from it being the first competitive outing this season for several of the boats competing, the RORC as usual had set up the regatta so that coaching could actively take place during racing, with the rule forbidding  outside assistance dispensed with for the duration of the regatta. The July-like weather meant relatively light winds that were often flukey, but in fact this aided the coaching, the on-the-water team led by Jim Saltonstall, Barry Dunning and the RORC's CEO Eddie Warden Owen, supplemented by the likes of Craig Bowie and various other sailmakers. Here is a composite video of the racing from the weekend. Click the button bottom right to enlarge...   You need Flash Player 8 or higher to view video content with the Kit Digital Flash Player.
