Zbigniew Gutkowski who competed in the last Velux 5 Oceans has been in contact with us regarding a missing Polish yachtsman Tom Cichocki and his yacht Polska Miedz, who have been attempting a non-stop circumnavigation.

Gutkowski writes: Here is the deal - we do not know where he is, there is no contact with him for over a month. His EPIRB was never activated and there is no sign of any emergency transmission from his yacht. His family, friends and all sailors are very concerned about his whereabouts and health. Authorities have been contacted in Brazil, Poland and internationally, merchant and cruise ship companies have been asked for help. We are using all possible means to spread this message among sailors, mariners and persons concerned about safety on sea. Please do help. Please share this post.

Just heard that he's been found. Zbigniew Gutkowski tells us: "After the media action seeking the lost sailor, was found near the Azores! Thank God he is alive and goes towards Brest."
