Fireball Super Series kicks off...
Following the success of the format in 2001 the UK Fireball Association is pleased to announce that the Typhoon Fireball Super Series is back for another year. Generously supported by Typhoon International the series is open to anyone who owns or can beg or borrow a Fireball for the weekend. There are some fantastic prizes on offer and they won’t just be going to the winners of the event. Anyone who takes part has an equal chance of winning the prizes so no matter what your position you could be taking home a top of the range Typhoon Ultra wetsuit or Typhoon Alpha Dry Top.
Grafham is the first in the four event Typhoon Fireball Super Series 2002. The series is focused on introducing more sailors to the open meeting circuit with friendly, accessible venues and prizes available for anyone who takes part. Too often the big prizes go to the people who win the event who go home laden with glassware and goodies so for these events the UK Fireball Association made sure this was not the case. The venues are spread out around the country so that as many people as possible can take part.
If you’d like to enter the first event at Grafham, the first start is planned for 12 mid-day on Saturday. There’ll be plenty of opportunity for socialising as the bar is open all evening and sailors are welcome to camp on site.
The Typhoon Fireball Super Series 2002 continues throughout the year at these venues:
Brightlingsea SC, 13-14 July
Shoreham SC, 3-4 August
Grimwith SC, 28-29 September
