Gill will be presenting their definitive Dinghy/One-Design range on its Stand B26 at this year’s RYA Dinghy Sailing Show, Alexandra Palace, on 6-7 March.

The new range represents eighteen months development and design excellence. This is, quite simply, the best range of dinghy gear Gill has ever produced.

Reaching launch stage has been an extensive process of supplying a team of 15 people, comprising Olympic sailors, club sailors, designers and retailers with prototypes ranging from waterproofs to boots, from wetsuits to gloves, for testing in extreme conditions, designing out the glitches and, in short, adopting the successful technique of ’trial & error’.

Gill’s response to the feedback has been to slim down garment cuts to improve windage and provide greater freedom of movement, use lighter fabrics, improve neck fittings for increased comfort and movement, use stretch fabrics for better flexibility, improve the performance to weight ratio and increase breathability. All products are manufactured using Gill’s 2 Dot fabrics with the exception of the Drysuits which are 5 Dot.

Featuring a comprehensive line-up of 20 totally new products, amongst the highlights is the pioneering UV Aero Vest, designed as a stretch top to be worn snugly over your buoyancy aid and trapeze harness to enhance aerodynamics and reduce the danger of getting entangled in equipment layers. The Vest design incorporates a Kevlar® reinforced front hole that should be pulled over the trapeze hook.

The Hybrid Smock is an essential piece of kit to reduce windage. It’s breathable, water-resistant and windproof and features a stretch collar and cuff to provide a firm and comfortable seal. The seamless underarm stretch panels provide optimum freedom of movement and comfort during long extreme aerobic sessions and a fully elasticated rubber gripper waistband resists ride-up.

Chairman Nick Gill: “The new range is the most comprehensive that Gill has ever developed and, we believe, it is second to none in the marketplace.”

Show Offers

To celebrate the success of its new range, Gill has two valuable product promotions running at the Show.

They are giving away a pair of their new Extreme Gloves worth £30 with every Gill Steamer or Short Arm Wetsuit purchased.

In addition, if you buy a Gill Drysuit, you will receive a free pair of i4 thermal Salopettes, worth £45.
