Increasingly making big inroads into the top level of our sport is becoming a burden both on time and financially. Specifically getting high quality coaching that does not cost the earth and fits around a busy work life is difficult to say the least. With this in mind top Radial coach and sailor, Jon Emmett, has been inspired to write a book based on his experiences and those of his friends on the Olympic circuit and you can get yourself a signed copy this weekend.

‘Be Your Own Sailing Coach’ is a book intended to help sailors get the best from their racing and provides information on how to set up a campaign and much more. Running to almost 300 pages this is a lengthy tome that covers, in detail, every aspect of a fully competitive campaign.

The subject is handily broken down into 20 easy to manage subjects by Emmett and has a host of easy to understand diagrams throughout. Advice is offered from start to finish by Emmett and a number of his contemporaries, including Paul Goodison, Joe Glanfield and Simon Hiscocks, all British Olympic representatives.

The book will be available for purchase this weekend at the Dinghy Sailing Show in London priced at £14.99 from the Kelvin Hughes stand (B62 Hall3 Great Hall). In addition to this visitors to the show will be able to meet Emmett himself and get their copy signed from 11:30 - 12:30 and 14:30 - 15:30 on Saturday and 11:30 - 12:30 on Sunday.
