In the balance for 470 women

Teams whittled down to one

Today it was announced that the Olympic Selection Committee (OSC) will
terminate the selection process for all sailors in the 470 women's class
with the exception of Christina Bassadone and Katherine Hopson.

Christina Bassadone and Katherine Hopson will be required to demonstrate to
the OSC medal winning potential as outlined in item 1 of the Olympic
Selection Process. The OSC will review Christina and Katherine's performance
at a number of regattas. It is anticipated that these will include the
Sydney International Regatta 2003, Sail Melbourne 2004, Princess Sofia
Regatta 2004 and the 2004 470 European Championships.
