Paul Goodison’s framed sailing rash vest, as worn by Britain's leading Laser sailor in his successful quest for gold in Beijing in 2008 is to be auctioned off with 100% of all proceeds going to the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust. The Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust aims to support, empower and enliven young people aged 8-24 who are recovering from cancer, leukaemia or other serious illness, by introducing them to the joys of sailing at sea.

The auction finishes on Sunday 18 April at 14.20 and details on how to bid can be found here.

Following on from his gold medal win at the weekend at the Princess Sofia Trophy in Palma, Goodison will be heading to the RYA Volvo Youth Nationals on Friday 15 April, where he will be out on the water observing the competitors and on hand for any last minute racing advice.

We understand the rash vest has been washed...
