Blustery day for 60ft tris

Jean le Cam's Bonduelle was the only boat to sail with full main in the conditions



But this didn't seem to help them as Fujifilm and Groupama blast off into the distance



Last season was disappointing for former 60ft tri champion Loick Peyron. His Nigel Irens-designed trimaran Fujifilm was new for last season and suffered rig problems and ultimately a dismasting . They now have the mast which was originally destined for Thomas Coville's new Sodebo trimaran.



On board ' Banque Pop' , Lalou Roucayrol's crew managed to break all the battens in their mainsail. They should be back in action by tomorrow.



The latest Nigel Irens trimaran is former Tornado sailor Fred le Peutrec's Bayer CropScience .
