Franck Cammas joins Luna Rossa

Luna Rossa Challenge has finalised a technical and sports agreement with Franck Cammas, winner of the 2012 Volvo Ocean Race and one of the greatest multihulls experts. Cammas will join the Italian team in the role of coach.

In addition to winning the Volvo Ocean Race on the first attempt with his Groupama team, Cammas' background is strongest in multihulls, dominating the latter years of the ORMA 60 trimaran class and most recently claiming Trophée Jules Verne in 2010 when Groupama 3 set a new non-stop round the world record of 48 days, 7 hours, 44 minutes and 52 seconds, subsequently sailing the same boat but with a cut down rig to victory in the Route du Rhum.
